Print Custom Reports
With this release, we've added the ability to print FieldEdge custom reports directly within the platform. Simply go to the report, click on the three action dots, and click print. If this report is large and contains at least one thousand records, you will get a pop-up letting you know this action is going to take some time. Letting you make the decision if now is the right time to print such a large report.
Duration Time added to Anticipated Upcoming Events Report
Users can now easily view how long service agreement tasks are expected to take to perform all in one report. This has been added to the anticipated upcoming events report columns by default.
Mobile Feedback: Removed Undo Option
Based on feedback from a recent member survey, we had an overwhelming response to the new undo option added to mobile. It was in the way and not needed. In response to this, we have removed the undo functionality from all areas of the FieldEdge mobile application. We also heard feedback that the success and alert messages can also sometimes be in the way. Because of this, we have shortened the length of these alerts from 5 seconds to 3 seconds.
Mobile Supervisors: Increased Insight into Attachments
Mobile users with full access to supervisors' permissions now have the ability to view attachments on the mobile app when using supervisor mode. Supervisors have always had the ability to see attachments on work orders assigned to themselves, but this release gives them access to attachments on all unassigned and assigned work orders.
Navigation Styling Updates
We've continued updating navigation menus and styling. You'll notice that some options and settings have had their respective buttons updated with a new image and style. For example, settings are now visible by a gear icon. Another style change is the ability to log out by clicking on your profile avatar.
Ability to Move Items Across Quote Options on Web and Mobile
FieldEdge Premier members using multi-quote options will now find the ability to move items across quote options on both the web and mobile. When you have at least two options on a quote, click on the action dots(...) within an option to find "Move Items to Other Options". Here you can choose an item(s) from a quote option and select a destination option.
Customer PO# Added to More Areas
Based on member feedback, we've added the customer PO# to more areas of FieldEdge. PO# is now available to be added to your columns within your list views on the dispatch board. To do this click the hamburger icon to reveal the columns available. Once added, you can move the column anywhere you want by dragging the column to the desired position. PO# has also been added to the customer page when looking at the work orders dashboard.
Flat Rate Items Report
We've added a new report under the inventory category, which lists flat rate items. This report contains a list of all the repairs from the FieldEdge Flat Rate integration. It also contains a view for listing all flat rate assemblies you have created.
Mobile: Timeline Search
Mobile users now have the ability to search the timeline notes on a work order. Users will also have the ability to add a timeline note directly within the new search page.
Part Requests: New Draft Status
You can now view part requests that are in the draft status. Additionally, a user can change the status to canceled or requested.
Additional Updates
- We've updated how FieldEdge search results are returned when searching on the items list. The searching method you've seen on the equipment and customer list has been added to the item list. Instead of using a contains type search, we are now using a full-text search engine. This should help return accurate results when searching the associated lists.
- Additionally, to prevent large images from keeping the layout templates from loading, all images will be readjusted to a resolution of 800x600.
- Previously, if certain items were made inactive in other areas of FieldEdge or in your accounting system, the item in question may then have been presented in a way you may not have expected. Therefore, we have gone ahead and made it so that these items will more accurately display as "Inactive."
Mobile Updates
All mobile updates are expected to be released the week of May 30th. Watch out for our update in the app store to ensure you receive these improvements.
