Updated Menu Icons on Tablet Version of FieldEdge
Similar to our web update in the last release, iconography is updated on the mobile app to match. These updates will be live when the mobile updates are available in May.
Check Out the New Way to Schedule Work Orders
When you're ready to schedule or reschedule work orders, you'll now action them directly from the Promised Appointment or Primary Assignment hyperlinks!
Promised Appointment Time
When you don't have a Promised Appointment Time already, click the Book for Later option to access the popup to schedule your work order. If you've already set a Promised Appointment Time, you'll see your work order on the Dispatch Board under the Unassigned tab, highlighted for you to easily see.
Primary Assignment
If your Work Order doesn't have a Primary Assignment yet, you'll see a popup allowing you to schedule, once the hyperlink is clicked. If you already have a Primary Assignment, you'll be brought directly to the Dispatch board and see this Work Order under the Assigned list, so you can schedule out as needed.
If your Work Orders are already Scheduled, you'll be brought to a popup allowing you to change the Promised Time, if needed. You can also edit the actual appointment if you click Schedule Now on the popup, too! If your work order is Complete or Finalized, you'll be brought to a new tab where you can see the Work Order on the Completed Tab on the Dispatch Board. If your Work Order is in Back Ordered status, you'll see the Work Order on the Back Ordered Tab on the Dispatch Board.
One More Thing to "Remind" You About! (Premier Users Only)
You'll now see a new Reminders option on the top right of the Work Order Information card. When Reminders for a work order are active, the text will appear in blue font and be clickable. If any of the Reminders are overdue, the text will appear in red and be clickable. If there are no active Reminders for the work order, the text will appear in black and you won't be able to click into it.
Update to the Print Button
While there is no new functionality tied to the button, the label has been updated to say Print/Email to help eliminate any confusion.
Tax Codes Required on Invoices and Quotes
Tax codes are now required to be added on invoices and quotes. Even when items don't contain tax codes, you'll still be prompted to enter one on an invoice or quote before saving. If you try to save without a tax code, you'll see a notification prompting you to enter before saving. This ensures you never miss taxing a taxable item.
"Select All" Option Invoice & Quote for List Views
Within the Invoice and Quote list views, you can now Select All of the items within the list. Click here to learn more about our new and improved list views.
Quote Option Images on Mobile (Premier Feature)
Techs can now select images for options within quotes from their device photo gallery. They can also remove images and take photos from their own device camera, too. Click here to learn how to add an image to a quote option from mobile.
