Dispatch Board Updates
We've made some design changes to the Dispatch Board, which are part of a larger design effort that will be released in the upcoming months. In this release, you can now drag the work order list view to the very bottom of the page, allowing your Dispatch Board to fill your screen. If you display your Dispatch Board in a common workspace, try using this view to see all of your technicians at the same time!
QuickBooks Desktop Integration Improvements
For members who integrate with QuickBooks Desktop, you may have experienced rare occasions where the connection times out. In this release, some behind-the-scenes work helped us improve our recovery process when a customer or invoice gets posted over. We've included additional checks that will avoid creating certain alerts and preventing duplicate invoices.
Advanced Reporting Improvements (Premier Feature)
When saving custom reports with FieldEdge Premier, you'll see updated messaging to make the process more straightforward. You'll no longer be required to select a category, and we've removed the option for saving "as a template", allowing you to more easily save an updated version of your report.
Mobile Updates
We'll be making it easier for technicians to log into their FieldEdge mobile app by enabling login via Touch ID on all Android devices with these capabilities. This new authentication will allow techs to login using their thumbprint or face scan instead of entering a full username and password, as long as these permissions are enabled within their device Settings.
All mobile updates are expected to be released the week of May 24th. Watch out for our update in the app store to ensure you receive these improvements.
