There was an error when modifying a Customers list, element "". QuickBooks error message: An inactive parent cannot have an active child.

Cause

The record being made inactive has sub customers which are still connected and are still active records.

Resolution

Find and open the sub customer record(s) and either change and/or remove the parent or make inactive. Otherwise you can make the parent record active again and retry the alert.
