Overview
There might be times when a lead has been generated but hasn't quite developed into a full customer. Being able to keep track of these Prospects could result in better communication and potentially earn greater customer value. FieldEdge has the ability to mark a customer as a Prospect, allowing for easy tracking for both the office and mobile employees.
Instruction
Marking a customer as a Prospect will not sync them to your accounting system. Once this Prospect has information needing to be sent to your accounting system, such as an invoice, FieldEdge will automatically mark them as a standard customer. Navigate to your desired platform to learn how to create a Prospect customer.
Creating a Prospect from the Office
1. Navigate to the Add Customer screen via the Customer List or through Phone Integration.
2. Select the Status dropdown box and choose Prospect.
3. Continue to fill out the rest of the customer information and click Create.
The Prospect customer is now created and will be displayed with a Prospect flag when viewing them throughout FieldEdge. Repeat these steps for any additional Prospect customers you may need to create.
Creating a Prospect from Mobile
1. Navigate to the New Customer screen.
- Note: To use this feature, mobile users must have proper user permissions enabled to create a customer.
2. Select the Status dropdown box and choose Prospect.
3. Continue to fill out the rest of the customer information and click Save.
The Prospect customer is now created and will be displayed when creating or viewing work orders from mobile. Repeat these steps for any additional Prospect customers you may need to create.
