Creating Reminders in the FieldEdge Basic Mobile Application

Reminders are a great tool that can be used to set up notifications for important tasks on a work order. You can create a reminder for a work order, invoice, or quote and have them associated with assignments. This will give users an alert that something important needs their attention. Use the steps below to learn how to view, edit, and create reminders.

Viewing Reminders

Within the mobile application, there are two sections where you can view your reminders. Follow the steps below to navigate to these sections.

1. First, log into the FieldEdge Basic Mobile app.

2. At the bottom of the home screen, tap on Notifications.

3. Next, click on Reminders found at the top of the page.

From here you can view a list of your reminders. You can tap on each of them for more information, or to edit their task. You can also tap on the box to Mark as Done when the task associated with this reminder has been completed.

Creating a Reminder

From the mobile application, you can view and create reminders for work orders, invoices, and quotes. Use the steps below to create a reminder when using the FieldEdge Basic Mobile application.

1. First, log into the FieldEdge Basic Mobile app and tap on an assigned work order.

2. Next, swipe the screen down until you see the navigation icons at the bottom of the work order.

3. Tap on the Reminders icon.

4. In the top right corner of the screen, tap on the Plus button.

5. In the new window, select the Type of reminder that you want to create.

6. Next, choose which technician this will be assigned to by selecting them in the Assign To dropdown menu.

7. In the Reminder Date field, choose when this reminder should be completed. This is the date that will notify the user that they need to complete this task.

8. Finally, add detailed information for this reminder in the Notes field and click Save.

This reminder will now be created and assigned to the user. You can repeat these steps for any additional reminders you may need to create.
