Overview

It's a new year and with it, we bring another FieldEdge update. You'll find updates to some integrations, and design improvements. We hope you enjoy the new update.

Office Updates

Improved Sorting for Reports and Lists

With this release, we've updated the sorting columns for list views to be more powerful and efficient, and give a clearer view for the user. When selecting a Sort Column from the header, a new Sort Columns popup will appear, allowing you to set all the sort columns at once. When viewing the list or report, the icon for the primary sort is now a blue circle. Hovering over any Sort icon will display the Primary sort options.

Updated FleetSharp Integration Page

To make enabling the FleetSharp integration easier, we've added and removed several options from the Global Settings, Employee Screen, and Integration page. We've also added an employee matching screen that allows you to quickly update multiple employees at once.

Consolidated Time Entries with QuickBooks Desktop

Through feedback, we've learned that posting time entries to payroll in QuickBooks can create unnecessary entries and make the timesheet more difficult to understand and use. With this update, we are combining all Idle time entries that share the same class and pay item. We are also combining the traveling and working time for each work order. This should make time entries easier to read, while still being accurate.

Dispatch Priority Design Update

We've updated the Dispatch Priority design to be more consistent with updated list views and reports. The color section now includes a list of preset colors. This should give the user more customization options with the same functionality.

Additional Updates

  • We've added more fields and attributes to the bulk edit feature.
  • Added better watch to identify if an employee is inactive. A new visual indicator will show if an employee is inactive so that new work orders are not assigned to them.
